MEET THE MEDICAL PRACTITIONER AND COMPLETE A MEDICAL ASSESSMENT

Meet with our Aesthetic Practitioner and complete a medical assessment.  The Practitioner will then discuss your concerns and examine your skin to identify the problem.

The Aesthetic Practitioner will then discuss treatment options with you and give information on the possible risks, side effects and aftercare.  If required, the nurse may educate you about the causes of acne and how to prevent break-outs.  If you are having chemical peels for fine lines or pigmentation, you may be given a personalised care plan to prevent the issue from returning.

GET TREATED

If you would like to proceed with the treatment, you can either book another appointment or have treatment on the day. Before having your treatment, you should think about any upcoming events in case you suffer from any dry skin or flaking skin, but the practitioner can advise you on this. A typical treatment would look like this:

chemical-peel

Before pictures will be taken.

Make-up will be removed and vaseline applied to the particularly sensitive areas of the face.

The practitioner will start a timer and the Glycolic Acid will hastily be applied to our face with a brush.

You may experience a slight itching, prickling or burning sensation, the practitioner will continue to pass the brush over your face to help relieve the sensation until the prescribed time is up.

The product will be removed with water and then neutraliser will be applied with cotton pads. The neutraliser will then be removed with water.

Following the procedure, recovery cream will be applied followed by sunscreen.

Whilst the results are gradual and at least 6 treatments are required to improve skin tone and texture, you may notice our skin feeling particularly soft and clean after just one treatment.

You will be required to attend the full course of treatment an use the prescribed products in order to see gradual improvement.
